ATHOS : ECHOES FROM THE HOLY MOUNTAIN
The songs of the monks from Mount Athos have been echoing for centuries across the deep waters of the Aegean Sea on the fringes of Greece, heard only by the pilgrims who were able to visit this community, secluded from a traditional conception of time and major world events. "Athos : Echoes from the Holy Mountain" aim to present this living heritage bt the means of a 2xLP album and artbook in English, Greek and French, inviting contemporary artists and researchers to approach, revisit and discuss its contemporary implications.


Vinyl + Book + Sleeve
This limited release includes a 2xLP vinyl compilation with twenty tracks, combining original archival recordings from Mount Athos and new takes by contemporary artists as Jimi Tenor, Holy Tongue, Jay Glass Dubs, Gilb'r, Inre Kretsen Grupp, Prins Emanuel or Murat Ertel. Along with the records, a 310-page Artbook in English, Greek and French (two editions possible ENG/GR or FR/GR) collects research, essays and photographs. The special edition comes in a handsewn very limited edition sleeve made for the project in Athens, Greece.
